The Town of Lincoln’s bridge and culvert assets are maintained in a safe state of repair to protect and prolong the useful life of the structures and identify any maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation needs.

Pedestrian Bridges are vital active transportation links for residents, facilitating essential connections to homes, employment services and recreational activities.

Tamarac Avenue Pedestrian Bridge: Upcoming Pedestrian Bridge Work

Work will include:

  • Full removal of Tamarac Avenue Pedestrian Bridge
  • New substructure and new bridge structure
  • Removal of chain link fence on west side of bridge
  • New wooden fence on west side to match east side fencing

Construction of the bridge is expected to occur in 2025.

Next Steps:

Construction of the bridge replacement is expected to begin in summer, 2025. The bridge will be fully closed to any pedestrians, cyclists, etc. for the duration of construction. Residents will be notified in advance of the bridge closures on the Town’s website and social media platforms.
