Electric Vehicle Charging Stations: Share Your Feedback!
The Town of Lincoln, with funding support from the Government of Canada, is proud to invest in the necessary infrastructure to support zero-emission vehicles (EVs). This initiative is part of our commitment to creating a resilient, sustainable community.
With the installation of EV charging stations across Lincoln now complete and in use for over a year, we want to hear from you. Your feedback will help guide future improvements to our EV charging infrastructure.
This project aims to:
- Improve zero-emission vehicle infrastructure in Lincoln.
- Support local economic development by making EV chargers accessible to residents and visitors.
- Enhance public spaces through sustainable technology.
- Educate the community about the benefits and use of EV chargers.
Project Funding:
This initiative was made possible with $105,000 in funding from Natural Resources Canada’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP).
Timing:
The installation and implementation of EV chargers were completed in early 2024, following a recommendation report presented to Council in the summer of 2023. As part of this initiative, the Town introduced a pilot program for operating the EV charging stations throughout 2024. We are now seeking public input to help shape a long-term operations plan for the electric vehicle charging program.
We’ve installed 21 Level 2 EV charging connectors across five key locations in Lincoln. Each location includes accessible charging spaces:
Location | Connectors (Level 2) | Accessible Spaces |
---|---|---|
Jordan Village Public Parking Lot (3763 Nineteenth Street) | 9 | 2 |
Municipal Administration Offices (4800 South Service Road) | 4 | 1 |
Rotary Park (5020 Serena Drive) | 4 | 1 |
Vineland Public Parking Lot (Victoria Ave and Tallman Dr) | 2 | 1 |
Charles Daley Park (1969 North Service Road) | 2 | 1 |
EV Charging Fees:
- Level 2 Charging: $2.50 + HST per hour
Explore and Use EV Chargers
Learn how to use the chargers by watching the demonstration video by ChargePoint. Find public charging stations, including Lincoln’s, using the ChargeHub map and app, available on Google Play or the App Store.
Businesses can sponsor EV charging stations to cover public charging fees and display a sign that reads, “Free Charging Courtesy of [Your Business Name].”
